Many Qur’an verses and Hadiths call to become closer to Allah through fasting, prayer and giving of charity during the sacred months in Islam, which are the three consecutive months: Dhu al-Qa’dah, Dhu al-Hijjah, Muharram, and the single month Rajab that is now passing by.
