The Metropolitan Museum was founded in New York, USA, in 1870 AD. It is one of the largest museums in the world and contains artifacts from all human civilizations, most notably the Islamic Art collection that includes 12,000 objects.

Islamic Arab Lands Wing provides a view of the Arab Middle Eastern arts through Arabic calligraphy models, miniatures and ornaments, and reflects the development of Islamic architecture and textile industry. The most beautiful masterpiece in this wing is the Damascus Room.
