The Museum of Islamic Arts in Istanbul is one of the first Islamic museums in Turkey.
It was established in the İbrahim Pasha Palace, which dates back to 1524 AD. The museum focuses on the relationship between art, history and culture.
The museum exhibits some of the finest carpets of the Islamic world as well as over 17,000 manuscripts, 3,000 Qur’ans and exquisite Arabic calligraphy models. It also features a number of Islamic artifacts dating back to various countries of the Ottoman Empire.
