Los Angeles County Museum of Art hosts a unique and diverse collection of more than 1,700 Islamic artifacts focusing on Islamic art-making methods and covering a geographical area extending from southern Spain to Central Asia.
The museum shows the ingenuity and precision of the Muslim artist through the ages, by displaying exquisite artistic models, including ceramics, inlaid metalwork, enameled glass, carved stone and wood, and arts of the book from manuscript illumination to Islamic calligraphy.
