Melaka Al-Quran Museum was opened to the public in 2008 as the first museum dedicated to the arts and sciences of the Noble Qur’an in Malaysia, as part of its efforts to make Islamic arts and sciences a tourist attraction.

The museum exhibits various collections of the Quran, ranging from old manuscripts to special collections of modern copies of the Quran. It also displays the history of the spread of Islam since the time of the revelation through the various Islamic eras.
