OIC Condemns the Terrorist Bombings in Turkey’s Adana and Şırnak Provinces

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) stronglycondemned yesterday’s terrorist bombings in the two provinces of Adana and Şırnak in the Republic of Turkey, which killed many and injured others.

OIC Secretary General Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen conveyed hisheartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Turkey on the loss of innocent souls, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.

The Secretary General denounced these attacks, which he described as a cowardly criminal act, reiterating the OIC’s principled position against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. He stressed on the need to prosecute and punish the perpetrators along with the groups behind them, and expressed OIC’s full support to the Turkish government in its fight against terrorism, the defense of its national security and the protection of its stability and territorial integrity.
