The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its condemnation of the terrorist act carried out by the Taliban against UAE officials in the Afghan city of Kandahar on 10 January 2017, killing 5 UAE officials engaged in humanitarian, educational and developmental duties in Afghanistan.
The Secretary General of the OIC, Dr. Yousef Ibn Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, expressed his condemnation of this cowardly and despicable act, reemphasizing once again that terrorism has neither religion nor nationality. He also expressed his condolences to the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the families of the victims and wished the injured quick recovery.
The Secretary General reiterated the OIC’s principled position which strongly condemns terrorism and extremism in all their forms and manifestations.
