in the Battle of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was subjected to severe harm and suffering from Quraish. His Uncle Hamzah’s body was torn apart, and an example was made of his corpse. Likewise, his cousin Abdullah ibn Jahash was torn limb from limp. Many of his companions were killed. His own skull was cracked weeping blood onto his noble face. The polytheists spared no effort trying to kill him (PBUH), yet in this moment of pain and danger with blood spilling from his skull, the Messenger of God (PBUH) did not forget the compassion of his mission and in the midst of battle prayed the polytheists, “Oh God, forgive my people for they know not”. Does bombing innocent people in roads, masjids, and cafes reflect this Muhammadan spirit, and can the perpetrators of such atrocities be associated with Muhammad and the mercy he displayed
