The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned the attack thattargeted French Police on Avenue Champs Elysée in Paris on Thursday, 20 April 2017.
The OIC Secretary General expressed the solidarity of his Organization with the French government and its people in facing the terrorist acts that target its security, reaffirming that the perpetrators are enemies of mankind, and all the moral values as well as religious principles. In this respect, he demanded to pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The Secretary General has also reiterated the OIC’s constant principled position condemning all forms of terrorism the aim of which is only to spread fear, insecurity and instability. He reaffirmed the necessity to join together international efforts to fight the phenomenon of terrorism in all its political, social, economic and security dimensions.
