Qadi Iyyad quoted scholars as saying: “It is necessary to beware of takfir in the people of interpretation (ta’wil). For permitting the blood of the monotheist worshipers is dangerous, and the error in leaving a thousand disbelievers is not as bad as the mistake of shedding a single Muslim’s blood.”(Ash-shifa bi Ta’rif Huquq al-Mustafa 2/277). Did the extremist minds read this and get to know how Muslim scholars warned about the danger of Takfir ?!!!
