Sheikh al-Bashir al-Ibrahimi explained some of the ethics of war in Islam: “Islam commands faithfulness as a sign of faith, and forbids treachery, and makes it a form of hypocrisy. It commands being faithful even in times of war which is often regarded as a period for having flexible morals and declining virtues. Allah says, “And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have taken it, [O believers], and do not break oaths after their confirmation”” [An Nahl: 91]. Athar Imam Muhammad al-Bashir al-Ibrahimi (5/92)
