Habib bin Hajar al-Qaisi reports that the righteous predecessors said of compassion: “It was said that the best faith is adorned with knowledge, and the best knowledge adorned with work, and the best work adorned with compassion, and nothing adds as much beauty to something as forbearance adds to knowledge.”
