Once Khalid ibn al-Walid entered with his army the city of Damascus during the Futuhat, he instantly granted the inhabitants security for their lives, property, and the sanctity of their churches, even the wall of the city he granted them not to be demolished; neither shall any Muslim be quartered in their houses.  This is how the companions of the Prophet dealt with non-Muslims. Does ISIL’s minds and muftis learned anything about this?!!!!
