A Civilized Response to Extremism

Muslims of Norway held Quran recitations in the streets of Kristiansand, in response to the "Quran-burning" by the extremist group SIAN. Norwegians came to declare their solidarity and stood listening to the Holy Quran with humility and respect.

More than 100 books, letters and poems, most famously the book “Management of Slavery”by Abu Bakr Naji, formed the bloody constitution of ISIS. They provided ISIS members with false justifications for murder and slaughter in the name of religion.  

Belgium Eliminates ISIS Online

The Belgian prosecutor announced that Belgium eliminated the presence of ISIS online after several strikes against the terrorist organization's activities, which resulted in the removal of thousands of sites, links, and chat rooms through which they were active.

Reykjavik Mosque

Reykjavik Mosque was built a few years ago and has undergone several expansions. On November 22, 2019 a minaret was installed for the mosque, which, despite its simplicity, is the first minaret of its kind in the history of Islam in Iceland.

Religious Tolerance Corridor in Pakistan

In an internationally welcomed step, Pakistan has opened a corridor allowing Indian Sikhs to visit a sacred temple in Kartapur, Pakistan. After a period of tension with India, the aim was to emphasize the principle of mutual respect and religious tolerance.

Global Tolerance Award

The International Institute for Tolerance (IIC) announced the launch of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Global Tolerance Award, which aims to consolidate the concept of tolerance and widen the circle of openness among the cultures and peoples of the world.

Burning of the Holy Quran in Norway!

There was widespread outrage among Muslims in Norway and Europe after the Norwegian anti-Muslim organization SIAN burned a copy of the Holy Quran last week. Muslim groups plan to sue the organization for hate crimes and for attempting to create a divided society.
