Representatives of the Muslim community in Cambodia welcomed PM Hun Sen’s decision to exempt Muslims from the mandatory order to cremate the bodies of COVID-19 victims. Muslims will be allowed to bury their victims according to their own traditions and customs.
Cambodia, located in Southeast Asia, ended the ban on Muslims gathering in their mosques due to the Corona virus. Starting from September 11, they can pray in mosques while adhering to social distancing as long as the prayer time does not exceed 30 minutes.
