Islamic history in 3D in the Netherlands
The Islam Experience Centre (IXC) in the Netherlands organized an innovative initiative to introduce Islam through virtual reality. Via 3D glasses, pupils and students are introduced to various important locations, inventions and religious core values from Islam.

National Commission for Minorities in India said that it had received complaints from Muslim, Christian and Sikh groups, calling for putting an end to the portrayal of minorities in Indian cinema in a humiliating and aggressive way that stirs hatred and violence.


Call of Duty developers apologize to Muslims
Call of Duty: Vanguard developer has apologized to the Muslim community for featuring smeared and scattered pages of the Qur’an. Activision expressed its regret, stressing that what had happened was an unintended mistake and it has been removed.


Johnson accused of ignoring Muslims
British MPs accused PM Boris Johnson of ignoring Muslims as he has not responded to a call for action on Islamophobia for a year. An MP wrote to the PM in November 2020 warning of rising hate crime and questioning the government’s inaction in tackling the issue.

Every November, “Islamophobia Awareness Month” is held in the UK by MEND in cooperation with several parties to raise awareness of the threat of Islamophobia and encourage reporting hate incidents to the police, to help tackle this phenomenon and eliminate it.


Hate crimes threaten British Muslims
The British Home Office said that Muslims were the target of 45% of hate crimes recorded between March 2020 and March 2021, prompting the Muslim Council of Britain to condemn the “pervasive form of bigotry” and the threat it poses, especially to young Muslims.
