Displacement of Muslims in India’s state of Assam
A video of a photographer stomping and attacking the body of a Muslim man shot by the Indian police caused an outcry on Social Media. The incident took place in the state of Assam, India where Muslims protested against government’s forced displacement.


«Meet a Muslim Family» in New Zealand
A Muslim imam called "Sabah Al-Zafar" started a campaign in New Zealand called "Meet a Muslim Family", during which he invites New Zealanders to have dinner with Muslims and ask questions about Islam, with the aim of correcting the negative views about Muslims.

A children's novel entitled Yusuf Azeem Is Not a Hero by Pakistani-American writer Saadia Faruqi was recently published in the USA, highlighting the huge impact of 9/11 and Islamophobia on the lives of American Muslims and how their suffering continues until now.

Tears of a British Muslim MP

A “Save the Children International” survey showed high rates of racial discrimination against immigrant students in Swedish schools. The survey shockingly revealed negative reactions of teachers and school administrations towards those students.

A Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) report said that Islamic governments and religious institutions have made great progress in imposing moderate Islam and pulling the rug out from under extremists and advocates of violence during the past 20 years.


Western literature spreads Islamophobia
American author Audrey Farley said that Western literature books that dealt with the Islamic world in recent decades presented a negative stereotype about Islam. That representation contributed to spreading Islamophobia and was exploited for political purposes.

Four nuns walked out of a prayer service in Kerala, India in protest after a priest delivered a hate speech against Muslims and asked people not to deal with them. The nuns said: “What Christ has taught us is to love everyone and not seed communalism”.


Racist attacks on Muslim prisoners in the UK
Many protesters gathered in front of Worcestershire County prison in the UK claiming that a senior prison officer has repeatedly targeted Muslim prisoners who are practicing Islam. The Ministry of Justice confirmed an investigation is underway.
