Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization was first inaugurated in the Heritage Area in 1996. The museum’s collection of Islamic arts and culture exceed more than five thousand distinct pieces collected from various parts of the Islamic world.
The museum highlights the great Islamic Civilization. Visitors can explore the discoveries and inventions of Muslim scholars throughout Islamic history. It houses early Islamic coin collections, rare Quran manuscripts and original parts of the honorable clothing of the Ka’aba.
