Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah in Kuwait was established in 1983 to display special collections of Islamic art. It houses nearly 20,000 artifacts dating back to different Islamic periods and spanning a geographical area from China to Spain.
The house includes a specialized and unique library that dates back to the 19th century AD and is characterized by containing a variety of artifacts and antiquities such as jewelry, glass, metal, fabric, wood and ivory, in addition to valuable Quranic and scientific manuscripts.
