Museum of the Islamic Era in Tehran is one of the main sections of the National Museum of Iran established in 1937 AD. It houses a huge collection amounting to 1500 Islamic artifacts arranged inside the museum according to their time periods.
The museum consists of several floors. The first and second floors contain 7 halls, most notably the Qur’an hall dedicated to rare Qur’ans, as well as halls dedicated to artifacts of early Islam and a rare and valuable collection of miniatures and paintings.
